Going about my busy routines, ideas for new crafty endevours will pop into mind periodically.
I'm still suffering from "mom-brain" at six months postpartum (and suspect that I will be indefinitely), so I consider myself lucky if I can recall those ideas at the end of the day (alone time!).
This one made it, though!

It's.... poppies!
Simple? Sure. But that's the beauty of poppies, to me. The simplicity. Like paper.
So, upon glancing at a package of poppy seeds that I'll hopefully be sowing later in the fall, I was struck by how simple and beautiful they are. I had a strong urge to try and translate that simple beauty into my workings with clay.
My first batch of poppies! Here's a sneak peek before finishing them and unveiling them as different jewelry items in my Etsy shop.
